This week our hosts take a breather from watching movies and instead answer one of the most commons questions to come in from listeners - how are the movies for the show chosen? 

This week our hosts look at Wicker Man (2006), where a reclusive lawman, played by Nicholas Cage, travels to a secluded island to search for a girl who has gone missing. Once there, he discovers sinister forces at work among the island's secretive residents, including strange sexual rituals, a harvest festival and possible human sacrifice.

 

After a week off, our hosts return to face Brian Bosworth (aka "The Boz) in Stone Cold, a 1991 undercover cop flick where the hero, John Stone, has all the charisma of the rocks he is named for. Topping off this cinematic slog is a finale action set piece that has not aged well. Listen in to hear the rundown of this early 90's darkhorse! 

Against better judgment, our hosts were persuaded to watch a 2nd Steven Seagal film. With a plot that hasn't aged well, Marked For Death falls flat because of a weak central pillar - Seagal himself.  

Charlize Theron anchors this Netflix sci-fi/fantasy action movie with some excellent stunt work and solid acting. With a time tested plot and some credible action - this film checked all the boxes and left our hosts looking forward to a sequel! 

It isn't high cinema, but this 1980 British sword and sorcery adventure film hit some high notes for our hosts this week. Strong performances by Jack Palance combined with some low-budget charm added up to a movie that deserves a remake. 

There seems to be limitless options in the web of questionable 80's movies as our hosts put grapple with Masters of the Universe (1987) this week. Starring Dolph Lundgren as He-Man and Frank Langella as Skeletor - this memorable film even made it onto Honest Trailers which isn't always a good sign.
