This legendarily terrible sci fi film from 1980 has everything you could want out of a good bad movie. A terrible premise, a team reaching far beyond their capabilities, a behind the scenes story that is completely insane.

For our final review of spooky season we went with the big one, the first filmed named after the day itself. Halloween! Released in 1978 and directed by John Carpenter, the film follows a group of babysitters on Halloween night as they are stalked by a masked killer.

Let's ease into the Halloween season with a film dripping in gothic aesthetic. The Crow was released in 1994 and influenced countless action films that followed, both in aesthetic choices and in behind the scenes safety. 

On the anniversary of his death Eric Draven, returns from the dead as an avenging dark angel to wreak havoc on the vicious gang who murdered him and his fiancé.

Any discussion of this film must mention the tragic passing of actor Brandon Lee who was sadly killed when a prop gun was mishandled on set and Lee was shot. This lead to changes in the industry regarding firearm safety. However as we've seen in recent years a lot of work remains to be done. 

Co-written, produced, and directed buy the Coen Brothers, this comedy stars Tim Robbins as the naive patsy that a greedy board of directors appoints as president of the company hoping he'll fail and make them all rich. However, when his harebrained idea becomes a surprise success, he ends up causing trouble for the board and himself. 

This movie was a big swing for the Coen brothers, big production design, wild story, zany homage to the screwball comedies of yore, but do these elements work together at all? Check out our three minute review to find out.
